Baby and Children’s Market – Saturday 25th June 2016
We’re really happy to say that we’re going to be at the next Baby and Children’s Market on Saturday 25th June 2016.
09.30 – 11.30am
St James High School, Summer Lane, Exeter, Devon, EX4 8NN
As well as local business’s like ours there will be lots of Mum’s and Dad’s selling pre-loved baby and children’s clothing, toys, books, games, prams and lots more.
At the last market I watched a Mum and Dad tag team. They had a list of what they wanted and one of them went up one side and the other did the other side, each checking in with the other as they whittled down their list. They left laden down with all sorts of things for their new baby who had been transferred from the pram into a sling to make way for the things they’d bought!
If you come along, do pop over and say hello.
I have heard that there’s going to be a FREE ball pit for the littles to play in!
We’re really excited that Baby Not Included are going to be at the Water Babies 10th Birthday Party on Saturday 4th June, America Hall, Pinhoe, Exeter, Devon, EX4 8PX.

We had a really good time at the recent Magdalen Street Christmas Market (I should and will post about this soon) and so am looking forward to another event on Monday 14th December from 12pm – 3pm at Exeter Central Library.
This is going to be a fantastic event for Mums and Dads with their pre-school children. I’ve kept this event pretty quiet at home as my little girl would love to come and join in, and see Poco Drom.
So if you are in the Exeter area then pop along and make sure you come and have a look at the lovely Baby Gifts, Lamaze Toys, Bibs, Onesies, Teethers and much more that we have.
For a full list of our upcoming events keep an eye on our Events Page.
Can’t make it? Fear not, you can benefit from Small Business Saturday by ordering online with us on the 5th and 6th December using the discount code Smallbizsaturday to receive 10% off your order.
To find out what’s local to you follow the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK on twitter.
How else can you help Small Businesses like us?
Take advantage of local farmers markets and shopping events local to you where you’re likely to find unusual and unique items. Discover things grown and produced locally to you that you didn’t know existed. Check your local paper or Facebook events for updates.
If you find a shop/trader/service that you like, recommend them to your friends. Word of mouth goes a long way.
If you do discover a great Small Business then give them a shout out by leaving us a comment and what you like about them.
Magdalen Street Christmas Market, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4TA
Pop along from 2pm – 6pm and do pop along and see us. We’ve got some great new gifts and treats for the little ones.
I’m so excited as this year we’re going to be traders at the Magdalen Street Christmas Market in Exeter, Devon.
For those who don’t know, Magdalen Street is a lovely place to eat and shop even on a normal day, but at Christmas the road is closed for one day only and it’s turned into a fantastic street market where local traders show there wares, people come to eat, shop and have some fun.
We normally go there for a look around and a bit of shopping so I’m quite excited that I’m going to be on the other side of things this year.
If it’s Baby Bargains that you’re looking for then you NEED to come.
There will be 40 stalls offering all sorts of bargains from Prams and Pushchairs, Baby Clothes, Toys, Shoes, Games, Cribs and Moses Baskets. Most people leave with armfuls of stuff (me included). We will be there with a selection of Hats, Rompers, Tights (we have lots of tights), Sock-Ons, Bibs and much more.
As well as the pre-loved stalls, there are some lovely business stalls (like us) offering gorgeous gifts and clothing for babies and toddlers.
Refreshments are available and I believe that there may be hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream available. You might find me hanging around that area!
If you come make sure you bring lots of pennies and a spare pair of arms for the carrying.
What are you up to this Saturday? If you’re in the Exeter or surrounding area then you should pop along to the Baby and Children’s Market from 09.30am – 12 noon.
St James High School, Summer Lane, EX4 8NN
As well as loads of pre-loved stalls selling anything from baby clothes, toys, prams, cots and much more there will also be a selection of Unique Businesses such as ourselves so you’ll be able to do a spot of Christmas Shopping.
There is FREE Car Parking.
A FREE mini photoshoot
A FREE bouncy castle
And there will be tea, coffee, cold drinks and a selection of rolls, cakes and doughnuts.
It’s always a great way to spend a morning with many leaving with arms full of great stuff. I love the way that many a man traipses behind his wife or girlfriend with the sole purpose of payment and carrying!!
I promise to take some pictures this time so I can show you what you’ve missed out on if you don’t come.
Munchkins Creche will be open all day for children up to the age of seven enabling you to browse at leisure.
Mothercare will be showcasing the latest in baby and childrens fashion at 2pm and First Aid demos are available throughout the day.
If you’re having trouble with your baby’s sleep pattern, Savvy Tot Sleep will be on hand for some great tips and advice to get a good nights sleep for both you and your baby.
And you can’t have a Baby Show without some entertainment for the little ones. Monkey Music is going to be there which comes highly recommended by us. We went to classes when Isabelle was smaller and she absolutely loved it and it’s a great way to interact with your child at home once you’ve learnt the songs and movements (which you will).
Tickets are £5.00 for adults and FREE to under 15’s.
