Whether you’re pregnant, already have a little one and haven’t taken the plunge, or like me an avid collector and enthusiast of washable nappies then this competition is definitely for you.

I’d already made the decision to use washable nappies before I was pregnant with number two much to the amusement of Daddy. I did a lot of research into the different types of nappy and materials before making my choice based on what I thought would fit in with our lifestyle and budget. In the end we opted for pocket nappies and Daddy was pleasantly surprised that there was no difference in changing between a washable and disposable.

I hold my hands up that the first time we used the nappies I was a bit worried about the time it would take to wash and reconstruct the nappies, but within a couple of weeks I had my own routine and was very surprised how quickly the nappies were dry and ready to use again.

As well as the overall cost saving, it’s extremely satisfying knowing that you aren’t adding to the already detrimental amount of landfill that disposable nappies produce.

To eliminate the confusion of size, all the nappies are birth to potty size, which means that you adjust the poppers to fit your child to make them bigger or smaller. As a first timer myself I opted for a Nappy Starter Pack which includes all you need and is available in 3, 5 and 10 nappy packs.  My personal favourites are Black and Red Spot, Green Polka Dot and Tinkle Tinkle Little Star.
