This year we’re hoping to pop up in person in and around the Exeter area more. We really enjoyed our recent Christmas Fairs and Markets where we had our first encounter of Poco Drom. Here are a few pics from the day.
As well as the Friends Festive Family Fair in December run by the Friends of Exeter Children’s Library, the library has loads to offer for parents and their children. I thought I’d share their most recent Newsletter as I know a lot of Exeter Mums and Dads follow us. So here it is:
Fridays (Term-time only) Starting 15th January
10:00 – 11:15
Carousel sessions offer early year’s children and their families a sensory experience, exploring colour, movement, texture and sound. ExploraTale will transform your experience of the library by taking you on an imaginative journey through books.
Suitable for Young Children
Free Event – Suggested donation £1 towards materials.
Storytime for families with younger children, aged Under 5 years (with carers please)
That’s plenty to keep you busy with your little one’s. The library are also collecting Ella’s Kitchen pouches which will be recycled and each pouch give the Friends of Exeter Children’s Library 2p so bring them along.
Share with all your Exeter based Mummy’s and Daddy’s and we’ll see you again at any upcoming events.
During pregnancy and beyond as parents we’re bombarded with ‘must have buys’.

So I’ve been a little bit slow on the concept of a January Sale, but unlike many retailers our January Sale is in fact taking place in January ha ha.
We had a lovely Christmas with THREE Christmas’ with family and then a day of rest or so we thought. Like, possibly the rest of the entire world we spent the Monday rearranging the house to fit in the abundance of gifts that our Children had received and sorting out things that they don’t use or play with any more.
Well I thought I did until I was given the task of buying two secret santa presents and it sent me into a panic about making sure I bought a cool/funny/appropriate present, one for somebody that I do know and the other for a fellow blogger who I’ve never met.
I’d like the blog to be more than just a portal of showing off my new products on site (www.babynotincluded.co.uk if you’re interested) , but something a little bit more interesting to read and with my rabble I’ve got more than enough stories to share. So when Beth from Life as a Mum blog started a Blogger Secret Santa I jumped on board.
So in preparation I did a bit of blog stalking of my Secret Santa and really loved her blog and writing style. I was very impressed with her ability to create such an amazing income from her blog and that’s as much information I’m going to give with it being a “Secret Santa”.
And on the other side of the Secret Santa is the present that I received.
I’m quite used to receiving things in the post, but when the post arrived that day I just knew that this was my Secret Santa present.
This is what I found inside.
I was a bit unsure whether or not I should open the present and it turned out that I had a choice, so I decided to wait until the Big Day before opening my gift. I did, however, recognise the print from Paperchase so was a tad excited as I have a bit of a stationary habit.
Isabelle was NOT happy at the site of a gift that not only was she not allowed to open, but one that wasn’t for her!
It was very nice to hear that the person I bought for liked her gift as I ummed and ahhhed about it to the point of over thinking.
So what did I get?
I got a writing set with a matching pen and mug which feeds my stationary habit and of course I am a big tea drinker so I can settle on down and drink tea and write.
A Big Thank you to Beth for organising and a huge Thank You to the person who sent me my present.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and a Great New Year x
We’re looking forward to 2016 and all that comes with it. I don’t like to make New Years Resolutions as I’m not that great at keeping them. If I deny myself something, that will be the ONLY thing that I want and my rebellious side kicks in and thats that!
We’re hoping to get out and about and into the community more this year in and around the Exeter area so you may see us about. We’ll keep you up to date with our whereabouts.
For all of you non-Exeter guys, our online shop is of course there for the browsing and shopping 24/7.
