Do you know the sex of the baby?
If buying for a work colleague, do you know the person well enough to buy a gift?
Do they already have it?
So they have colour schemes? (This is more common than you think).
What size to buy?
There’s lots to think about. Many of us struggle and make the decision to send a gift card so that the new parents can choose something that they want/need.
Whilst I love recieving gift cards enabling me to choose something that I love, I prefer to buy a present. Our selection of Baby Gifts make that purchase slightly easier. Each set comprises of a bodysuit, romper suit and matching bib or socks.
Oooh I love new things and more often than not they’re for the kids and not me and that’s why when I was asked to review the New Jinjabiscuit Dinnerware set I jumped at the chance.
Isabelle who is now three is not a particularly fussy eater but she does like variation and presentation has become far more important of late. We’ve gone from cutting the crusts off to using cookie cutters to make sandwiches more interesting. Once you start doing this, be warned that there’s no going back!
The Jinjabiscuit Dinnerware set is made from 100% food grade silicone, BPA free and does not leech chemicals into food even when heated at high temperatures. The set can be put in the freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Obviously as it’s made from silcone there’s no chance of it breaking which is always a bonus with children. Apparently it is scratch and stain resistent so I’m wondering how it will cope with the odd curry.
The set we were sent is PINK of course and comprises of a bug shape two compartment plate, a chicken shape bowl, a pig face cup and a chicken spoon.
Isabelles favourite piece is the chicken shaped bowl and is an ideal shape and size for snacks.
My favourite is the pig cup which is exactly the right size cup to have with a meal and perfect for little hands to grip.
The two compartment plate is great for separating salad and veg from the main meal and great for sweet and savoury snacks.
These great sets are available in the UK very soon – Launch date 16th May so keep an eye on their Kickstarter site or follow Jinjabiscuit on Twitter to find out more.
So as far as children’s dinnerware goes this set definitely gets a the thumbs up from both myself and Isabelle. This would be the perfect weaning set and will carry on through for years to come. For Isabelle age 3 this is perfect for her breakfast and snacks, and she’s looking forward to making a jelly in the chicken bowl.
*Isabelle was sent this set free of charge for the purpose of review. Opinions and views are those of said fussy three year old and lil old me (aka Mummy).
