In a slight moment of madness last week, I came up with the idea of auctioning some items on our Facebook Page, and called it ‘What Will You Give Me Wednesday’, giving you guys the chance to bid on some of our items. It was a bit of a trial and error last week and has some interest but I’m hoping that if we make it a regular feature it will become well known with our current customers and hopefully bring new customers to the site (please feel free to pass onto your friends).
So, the rules are that each Wednesday we will post some items and you can make bids my leaving a comment. Bidding starts at 1p (mad I know) and the highest bid once bidding has closed is the lucky buyer and will be contacted after that time.
We will be active on Twitter, during the bidding and you can of course post any questions that you may have on our Facebook Page. We will be tweeting with the hashtag #whatwillyougivemewednesday (bit of a mouthful I know).
So, the next one is this evening and we’ll get cracking from about 8pm.
We would love to know your feedback on this item, and if successful will make it a permanant weekly features.
It’s that time of the week again and it seems that the competitions are coming through thick and fast.
We haven’t been ‘up North’ for a while and the last time being to Manchester. I was really impressed with the Trafford Centre and fancy going back. What better reason to go that to take a trip to the Legoland Discovery Centre. Incidentally you can win a Family Ticket over at Kiddy Charts at the moment.
It was our daughter’s 2nd birthday yesterday and we had a lovely family barbeque to celebrate. We were deliberating over what to get her for a gift as we didn’t want to buy something just for the sake of buying. We took a bit of a risk with it but in the end I won, and got her a gorgeous wooden play house. I could picture her in my mind playing with it even in the cold weather. As long as the weather is dry she can go out with her wellies and coat on and get years of play out of it.
Her reaction was exactly what I was looking for with squealing and laughter which made my day.
Despite my previous status of hating all things pink, I have been completely swayed with a little help of Isabelle and this was our outfit of choice. I think we may have to add some of these style dresses to the site.
And to top off our lovely day, after much agonising over whether I could pull off the cake. This was what I managed to muster up.
We were so pleased with how it turned out and Isabelle knew that it was Peppa and George straight away. Phew.
We had a lovely morning at the Baby And Children’s Market on Saturday and are looking forward to being able to do more in the future. We met some lovely mums and dads and some truly gorgous babies. So here’s what we stumbled across this week.
